Behaviour Consultation

Fear / Anxiety

There are always reasons for behavioural issues. For some owners their dogs behaviour can be very stressful and hard to manage; they find it difficult to understand why they are behaving the way they do. You may think that you have tried everything and just cannot cope with the worry and stress anymore. Is the behaviour now affecting your relationship/bond with your dog? Has the behaviour just started or has it been on-going for some time?

Every dog and situation is unique but through correct questioning and observation you can establish the cause for the issue, and then formulate the right behaviour training plan. It is important to remember that just like people our dogs get stressed and they have fears and anxieties. Some of which may always be there; but with the correct management, life becomes easier and they are more able to cope within our human world and demands.

With my expertise, knowledge and years of experience I find it extremely rewarding to be able to help both dogs and owners. In many respects owners have far more to learn and understand than the dogs themselves.

I prefer to specialise and concentrate my behaviour work on medium to large breed dogs who have reactive / fear / anxiety issues. such as : fears or phobias of  anything, a dog that fears people or other dogs may bark or lung, separation anxiety etc.
Fear is an important emotion that often is not understood and gets dismissed by so many, it can cause a dog to react in many different ways if not addressed or managed correctly.

Every dog and owners circumstances are unique – So I offer a range of behaviour packages to suit all needs both Online and depending on your location In-Person. Prior to all initial consultations I do require the completion of a comprehensive questionnaire. (Please note Separation Anxiety issues are only online consults and All behaviour consults include a pre-consultation curtesy phone call)

Please contact me to discuss or book

Unless otherwise arranged, PAYMENT MUST be made prior to any consultation or training session taking place.

Every situation, and dog is unique and different.   I would like to point out though that there are no ‘Quick Fixes’  a dog is a dog and it will take them as long as it takes them to learn and understand what it is YOU are asking of them. Their learning will very much depend on you, how committed and good you are at giving them the clear but kind direction that they need. My consultations are always very calm and non-judgemental. I am happy to work with genuine committed owners who want to learn to be able to provide the best care and management for their dogs. I only use force free reward based methods.
